Theodore (Terry) Lyons has handled civil actions and personal injury cases for over 35 years. He is certified in Civil Trial Advocacy and Civil Trial Preparation by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has been recognized as a Wisconsin Super Lawyer. His reputation has allowed him to be selected by judges and litigants as a mediator in over 1,000 matters. He has represented attorneys and has acted as a "lawyer's lawyer" representing attorneys in law firm disputes. He has been appointed by courts in several counties in mediation matters and has been asked to serve as the third or "neutral" arbitrator by opposing counsel in many actions.

Lyons' clients appreciate his practical and early evaluation of their claims. His experience in mediation allows his clients an opportunity to settle their claim efficiently, but they also appreciate his willingness to try those cases when trial is necessary.

Lyons was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on March 27, 1953. He graduated from Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania, in 1975. He received his law degree (J.D.) from the University of Wisconsin- Madison (cum laude) in 1978.

For many years Lyons has taught civil trial preparation and negotiation as an instructor in the General Practice course at the University of Wisconsin- Madison Law School. He has lectured on litigation topics for the State Bar of Wisconsin and has served as a chapter author for the Law Of Damages from 1988-2014.

Lyons lives with his wife in Milton, Wisconsin. He is active in his church and in a number of community organizations.
